Where can I find a local DUI program in Colorado?

Choices in Living offers state-licensed local DUI Education, DUI Therapy, and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) services from our Wheat Ridge, Colorado office and online. We work with clients throughout the Denver metro area, Jefferson County, and across Colorado, and we also serve clients in Iowa.

Are your DUI classes accepted by Colorado courts and probation?

Yes. Our DUI Education and Therapy programs are state licensed in Colorado and meet court and probation requirements. We provide official documentation and progress reports as needed for your case.

What is the difference between DUI Education and DUI Therapy?

DUI Education is the structured classroom-based learning component required after a DUI offense. DUI Therapy is treatment that addresses the underlying patterns and behaviors. Most clients begin with Education and then move into Therapy or our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) based on their evaluation and court requirements.

Can I complete court-ordered DUI treatment online?

Yes. Colorado court-ordered DUI treatment can be completed online with us, which is helpful if you have lost your license, are out of state temporarily, or have schedule constraints.

How quickly can I start a DUI program after my offense?

We typically schedule a DUI Intake within one to two weeks. Call our office Monday through Friday between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM to find the next available intake.

What does a DUI Intake cost?

Our DUI Intake is $50. After intake, your specific program length and cost are determined by your evaluation results and any court-mandated requirements.

Are you a state-licensed Domestic Violence treatment provider?

Yes. Choices in Living is a Colorado state-licensed Domestic Violence treatment provider. We deliver court-approved DV evaluations, intakes, and ongoing DV groups for offenders.

What is the cost of Domestic Violence treatment?

DV Intake is $135 and the DV Evaluation is $135 (combined total $270). Ongoing DV Groups are $42 per session. Individual sessions and trauma therapy are billed separately.

How long is Colorado court-ordered DV treatment?

Length is determined by your evaluation and the court’s requirements, and can range from short education programs to extended group treatment over many months. Your evaluator will explain the specific recommendation in writing.

Colorado court-ordered Domestic Violence treatment can be completed online with us when appropriate, making it easier to maintain consistency with work, parenting, or transportation barriers.

We are HIPAA compliant and do not share client information outside of the agency without proper authorization. Court-ordered cases require limited reporting back to probation or the court, which we will explain clearly during intake.

IOP is a structured treatment program for clients who need more support than weekly individual sessions but do not require inpatient care. It typically combines group therapy, individual counseling, and educational components several times per week.

All new clients begin with an Intake ($65) so we can match you to the right group. We currently offer 12 online groups across substance use, DV, trauma, and general support.

Yes. An intake is required before individual therapy, group counseling, or treatment programming so we can build a plan that fits your needs and any court requirements.

We accept insurance and also support out-of-network coverage through Thrizer, which helps you submit and get reimbursed automatically. We accept MasterCard and Visa for any remaining balance.

Monday 12pm–4pm, Tuesday by appointment only, Wednesday 12pm–2pm, Thursday groups only, Friday by appointment only, Saturday 11am–4pm. Phones are open Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
